A right, not a privilege.
Before I made friends with theatre, I was incredibly timid. I often find myself hanging around school alone with no friends and it takes me so much courage to talk to someone first.
It was after meeting theatre – when I first sat in the cushy seats watching my first show – that I realized how amazing it is. Theatre rang true to my heart, and my journey started: from an audience, to an actress and an aspiring director.
I want to spread my love and passion for the arts to more people. Growing up in a small city in China, I know how hard it is for kids to gain access by themselves. At UPstage, I (we) want them to find joy in theatre by showing them ours.
